Summary
The day her mother went to sleep forever was a day of short lived celebration for Hallownest. Her mother and a sibling she never knew, sacrificed for a kingdom through the whims of her father. The worst day Hornet had ever been through.
Yet, her home was not saved. The sickness merely flickered with its creator’s entrapment before resuming its slow rampage.
Her guardians and fellow Weavers are left scrambling for a solution, leaving Hornet alone in her room to watch the beginning of the end. She wants to help, to help save Hallownest like her mother wanted to, but she is turned down again and again as they claim her too young to take such a mantle. Too small to even properly wield a needle.
But she is Queen of Deepnest, Daughter of Hallownest, child of Weaver and Wyrm! And she isn’t going to just watch her home crumble around her!

(Everything goes to shit way sooner than in cannon. Its literally just Ghost and Hornet fucking around and finding out during the end of Hallownest while trying to save it. Like co-op Hollow Knight except played backwards essentially)
