in a world where flowers paint themselves on your skin for every person you love in your lifetime, hajime has had purple asters crawling across his skin since he was twelve.
all for a boy who has climbed mountains and mountains and conquered them, with hajime always wondering if there will come a day when the boy can no longer come back home—or a day when the universe deems the world unworthy of this boy and finally takes him back home, into the skies to meet the stars that are much like himself—only that he is much brighter, only that he is much greater.
all for a boy who has marigold blooming on his skin, because he is a child of the sun, of the universe, of metaphorical golden thrones with a crown that fits only him but also because he is not capable of love outside of this: all-consuming and greedy and taking and taking and taking.
but tooru is his tooru and hajime will give and give and give because there is not much to lose if everything has always begun with this very same boy that is the reason for the purple asters on his skin.

“how’ve you been, tsukki?” he says, and there’s a smile in his voice. kuroo tetsurou pulls away and his eyes are clear as he gazes into kei’s eyes, smiling gently. and kei can’t help but hold his breath in.
it dawns on kei, then, that this was what it was. kei realizes it’s because it’s been such a long time that he’d forgotten. silly, silly, stupid kei. because kuroo has always been touchy, because kei has always been a friend before a lover, because that’s what kei was and all that he amounts to now—not even a hard enough thought it would have hurt the older’s head, not even an awkward smile, not even one step of hesitation in the same way kei had stayed up all night wondering how he was going to face this version of kuroo he hadn’t seen since their break up three years ago.
because kuroo is everything but hesitation. he wavers so rarely and even then, he never lets anyone see it, save for a few. but it’s been such a long time and kei is no longer part of those few somes. so, one hug, keeping kei close like all the other times he did, and yet, this time, kei feels so far from him.
“good,” he finally murmurs back, only just fast enough to not have the conversation turn awkward, “i’ve been good. you?”

Kei never lets things come easy for himself, never tries to believe in one thing too long because things change, all the time. But if we grow together and fall in love with one another's newer versions again and again and again, Tetsurou remembers saying one night as he held Kei in his arms, kissing the top of his head, the palm of his hands, the tip of his nose. Then we'll be alright, no? And there are many, many nights when Kei still needs to touch Tetsurou to make sure he's still there, when Kei has to fight himself to convince his head it's going to be okay.
So, when he says he loves. If he, when he, could say he loved Tetsurou—no ifs, ands, or buts attached, then Tetsurou needs nothing else.

yachi hitoka and tsukishima kei fly out to rennes, france and rent a 2-bedroom apartment to study a 2-year course in their own respective universities.
yachi creates a youtube channel to help friends and family from japan stay updated and learns a lot of things about life along the way, tsukishima tries to survive the woes of university and being a famous feature to yachi's channel, and chaos ensues as they explore what growing up means together.

Summary
this is like a series of sorts that's been in my mind for a long time now, because i really think yachi and tsukki are wonderful, i'd love to see their friendship. so this became a sort-of (self-indulgent) passion project (am i using this term right) of sorts and i hope i'm gonna be able to do a lot about it because i do have plans for it! AAAAA, yay.
