And then he's biting; biting down hard, on the curve of Euijoo's neck. Nicholas hopes it's enough to bruise, that Euijoo and everyone else will notice, see. He hopes it hurts, that the ache lingers long after and burns through him every time he traces his fingers over it, everytime someone asks.

Beomgyu didn't really know what had happened to him. Of course, this was a recognisable feeling, but he thought he’d healed. Everything was going well. He was happy. His friends were happy. But his mind told him he shouldn't be. His mind told him to suffer, to skip meals again, to avoid talking to those he loved. And while the skipping meals part was difficult, he found it easy to shut down a little more everyday. He spent more time in his room, cracked less jokes during practice, declined innocent hangouts because he was “too tired” or “had other plans.”
It genuinely came out of nowhere. But that was the art of depression: surprise attacks that lacked a catalysing force.

“New kid? It’s not that new kid is it?” Kai said with this tone of concern in his voice. Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. He had never seen Kai without a blinding smile and crescent eyes before. “Some new kid, no one knows what his deal is. He won’t talk to anyone unless he absolutely needs to; he just ignores everyone.”
“Maybe he’s shy.” Beomgyu remarked, chewing on the paper straw.
“This girl kept trying to flirt with him and he threw water in her face and cursed out her dog.”
“...not shy then.” He slid the empty juice box into the pile of trash that had accumulated at the centre of the table.
“He’s strange. He glares at everyone, even me.”
“Even you?” Gyu asked at which Kai nodded furiously. “Damn. He’s stone cold.”
“His name…Seojun, or Soohyuk, or-”
“Soobin. My name is Choi Soobin.”OR
Beomgyu finds his life constantly intertwining with that of the new transfer kid Soobin. What starts out a petty animosity turns into a deep friendship of trust and comfort, and then develops into something more than just platonic.
