“Zoro, seriously!” Usopp laughed awkwardly as Zoro pushed his shoulders down to keep him flat.
“I'm fine! You caught me, alright? You saved me, I didn't get hurt! I'm not made of glass, you know. You're acting like I damn near died!”He'd never forget the look on Zoro’s face when he said that. A hard look. A look that silenced him at once, that pinned him to the bed without words.
Usopp falls down the stairs. He's perfectly fine, so why is Zoro being so weird about it?

“Why am I always so damn weak? Why can't I save everyone? Why can't I ever protect you?” he hissed, forcing the words out as if they pained him to speak them aloud. Usopp stared at him, not daring to interrupt a rare moment of Zoro confiding in him.

Usopp choked, his blush burning to the tips of his ears. A loud, forced laugh bubbled out of him as he plunged his hands back into the soapy water.
“But that's ridiculous, isn't it? Crying over food. It's not like I went hungry the last two years or anything. Isn't that funny?”
A beat of silence passed between them before Sanji replied, voice gentle.
“I don’t think it’s funny.”
A taste of Sanji's cooking after two years without brings repressed feelings to the surface for Usopp and Sanji both.

“You probably do not think this is cruel,” GLaDOS says suddenly, not taking her gaze from the mouse for a second, “After all, you have such enormous capacity for cruelty, I doubt you can recognise mistreatment even when it is right before your eyes. However, a normal human with basic abilities of empathy, love, and compassion, would correctly identify my treatment of this animal as cruel.”
Chell says nothing.
“However, if this experiment were to be submitted to an ethics committee, it would receive full approval. Cruelty, in and of itself, is not wholly banned in science, after all. It is simply needless cruelty, the kind you excel in, that is not permitted. What I am doing is necessary for testing conditions. What I do is the only way for knowledge to progress.”
