Summary
As Eddie walked back from the statue, curious about the commotion, he turned around right as he endured the loud, smacking impact of someone plowing into him, cracking their skulls together with only the last sound of a heavy, “Fuck!” ringing in his ears before he blacked out.
On a class trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, a close encounter revives distant memories.

Summary
Subbing a free lunch period with Ben for a grand rendezvous underneath the bleachers of the football field with Lila Perkins was, in many ways, a mean betrayal, but in others, an intriguing opportunity.
Richie Tozier did not know why he was here; he was comfortable in a cafeteria with Bill and Eddie and Ben, talking about comics and video games and how to keep the Clubhouse in tip top shape until the rest of the Losers decided that they’d utilize it again; what witty remarks he’d throw back against his English teacher, and which cassette tapes he’d save his allowance for to purchase from the record store.

Summary
“No, no no no no,” he breathed out shakily. “No no no.”
His hands, convulsing with panic, reached out and went to collect the pieces of glass. The sharp, jagged edges cut into his palms as he hurriedly did so. He crawled around on his knees, rushing to the farther sides of the room where various pieces of the Smirnoff bottle spread out.
The day that Eddie Kaspbrak gets his cast off, Richie comes over and offers his usual camaraderie, and how could Eddie say no to that?

Summary
Richie’s expression was unlike any other, so full of something; joy and comfort and gentleness, nothing so abrasive as he usually did. And he stole a glance upward, drinking in the dark blue night, the sprinkle of constellations, the full moon, and the drifting snow. In Derry, there had never been such a winter night; a feeling of fondness or a breath of air- it was such a different feeling. He laughed, giddy, frigid in this weather, and leaned in, toward Eddie, toward everything.
He did not want anything to pull him away, not It, not even the Losers, because it was just them and their business, their moment, and no one else’s.

Summary
“Stop staring at me, creep.” Eddie grumbles, all of a sudden, bringing Richie back to present day, where he is laying beside Eddie and they are sharing each other’s space and listening to the lovelorn songs of The Cure, and Richie, though he hadn’t realized it until he got caught, is staring over at his best friend, thinking secret things that he wishes didn't have to be.
Stomach plummeting, Richie freezes. “M’not,” he lies after he thaws out, sounding dumb. He flexes his hands, pockets them. Doesn’t move his eyes from Eddie’s face.
Sighing, Eddie peeks one eye open. “Are too,” he argues, “you still are. Rude to stare, y’know,” he says, opening both eyes now as tilts his head up to meet Richie’s gaze, their faces a single breath apart.

Summary
“What?” Eddie snaps, feels immediately defensive. “Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?” Self consciously, he buries his nose into his comic book. Glares at Richie over the brim, frown tugging at the corners of his mouth.
He waits for Richie to take the bait, provide some half clever quip that will catapult them into some sort of argument, as is customary. But the taunt never comes. Instead, he reaches forward—with a look in his eyes that if Eddie didn’t know any better would let himself think is almost fond—takes a curl in between gentle fingers and says, “your hair’s longer,” in a tone so tender it is almost unrecognizable.

Summary
He has had this dream before.
It never starts quite the same, but the feeling it leaves in the pit of his stomach is consistent—warm, fluttery, ethereal—he’ll wake up short of breath, heartbeat stuttering against his ribcage—corollaries of dreams like this one and all those before it.
A name dances around in his head, faint like a whisper but nearly clear as day. A name that he knows is familiar, knows is more than that, a name that holds meaning just like the face before him and the feelings they yield. A name that Richie knows somewhere within is one he has spoken before, many a time.
It plays like a mantra within his soul, a chorus of a name he knows and has known. One he refuses to forget—
—Eddie.

Summary
What if... some of the events of Chapter 2... took place in 1989...
"And then there’s blood on his face and Bev is screaming, and he realizes the clown is really fucking with him, making him hallucinate fucked-up things like this. Like Eddie’s face pale and unblinking above him, mouth working around a breath he can’t quite suck in because there’s some kind of claw run straight through his chest."
In other words, a fic in which 13-year-old Eddie Kaspbrak gets stabbed by a sewer clown and 13-year-old Richie Tozier is Not Here For That Shit, Thanks.
