Somehow, Will's life only gets more confusing after he helps to defeat a primordial Goddess.

Nico di Angelo accounts for about 90% of that confusion.

    Summary

Zuko has not known real peace since the day he faced his sister in their Agni Kai many years ago. No matter how many times he tried to bury it, his feelings for Katara refused to fade. At every shared meal, every sparring match, every return to the Fire Palace, he found himself hoping — just once — that her eyes would meet his and reignite the spark that had flared the moment he took Azula’s lightning for her... but they never did.

Her gaze always found Aang instead, and, in time, Zuko taught himself to look away — for their sake, for the fragile balance of their friendship. The Avatar and the healer, bound together as if by fate.

But when Katara comes to the Fire Nation during a quiet break from Aang, the Fire Lord begins to notice something he hadn’t allowed himself to see before. Whenever he looked away…

    She always looked back.
