Summary
Astarion and Gale made each other a promise to not chase after the powers that may one day corrupt them both. A vow to live happily ever in Waterdeep once their journey to defeat the Absolute has ended. So, what happens when their fight with Cazador turns against them, leaving Gale dying on the floor? Astarion is left to make a very difficult decision just so he could keep their dream alive. At least... so he hoped.
