Summary
It isn't that strange that Apollo's soulmark would be in English; after all, he plans to go back some day. Except by the time he grows up, he is hearing the important word almost every day.
It isn't until Klavier is nine that he realizes his soulmark is in Khura'inese. This is a bit troublesome, especially when he finds himself falling for Apollo Justice, who probably can't speak a word of the language.
And yet somehow, things tend to work out in the end.

It’s not for lack of offering; the bottles occasionally appear in his temples, even if his worshippers should know better than to give him earthly temptations, and other gods have warily invited him to drink on special occasions. He accepts the shared cup during the Battle of the Lanterns, an exception to his otherwise tightly controlled cultivation, but a sip is only a sip…
Drinking expressly with the purpose to be drunk is another matter, and one that he avoids.
… usually, that is.

He’s seen this ribbon almost every day for the past 800 years. He can’t just… let it collect dust in Feng Xin’s chamber, only because Feng Xin is too lazy to fix it himself. If he won’t, then Mu Qing will.
Because that’s just a normal thing that rivals do. They mend each other’s robes and fix each other’s ribbons. Obviously. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, and Mu Qing is not being delusional. And he most definitely does not miss seeing the golden ribbon in Feng Xin’s hair.
Mu Qing realizes Feng Xin's ribbon has been ripped, and it bothers him more than it should. Eventually, he decides to fix it himself.

The thing about pretending to be someone else, Mu Qing realizes, is that it’s impossible to still not be you.
Take Nan Feng as an example; if the terrible name wasn’t enough to make it obvious that he was Feng Xin, the way he couldn’t go five seconds without swearing or getting into a fight with Mu Qing should give it away.
Or rather, couldn’t go five seconds without looking at Mu Qing.

Kravitz hadn't intended on sort of informally adopting Angus, but that was what happened. He certainly wasn't complaining though, and he was glad to have him in his life now. When he started dating Taako it seemed to be only natural to want to introduce the two most important people in his life.
Taako certainly hadn't meant to start watching after Angus at all. The kid just sort of wormed his way into his life, and it wasn't like Taako didn't know what it was like to be a kid on your own. So sure, he'd watch after the kid every so often, teach him magic and feed him and what not. And If Kravitz wanted to have their kids meet or whatever, he would bring Angus along.

He studies Taako and Magnus from the other side of the thorn bush, and tilts his head, considering them. “You’re a long way from home,” the man says. “Didn't anyone warn you about the dangers lurking in the Felicity Wilds after the sun goes down?”
