Summary
When 20-year-old Maisie Garcia is in a fatal car accident, it leaves everyone that surrounded her shattered. Maisie was like a virus; when you met her, you couldn't help but want to get closer to her. She was always happy.
Maisie's close childhood friend, Maelynn Hart, had watched Maisie get closer to more people from school before the accident happened. Maelynn never told Maisie how that made her feel.
Maelynn had a crush on Maisie since childhood but didn't realize it until her teen years.
When Maisie got in the accident, Maelynn was unable to ever express her feelings.
Regret had filled Maelynn. She just wished to turn back time.
While looking at old photos of her and Maisie, a tear landed on the photo. In almost an instant, the photo disappears. While she wanted to question what just happened, her mother's voice cut her off.
"Mae, time to go. You're hanging out with Maisie, remember?"

Yeonjun sighs heavily, folding another sweater and frowning at his best friend. “Boyfriends are so stupid. I wish I didn’t want one so bad.”
Beomgyu shrugs, looking unbothered by the older boy’s romantic woes. “Well, this is the perfect time to find someone, Junnie. Love is in the air! You just need to find someone to snuggle up with this holiday season. That’s the Christmas spirit!”
Yeonjun huffs out a cynical laugh. “Yeah, I’ll be sure to ask Santa Claus for a boyfriend this year, Gyu.”
“Hyung! Didn’t you hear?” Beomgyu asks, practically vibrating with excitement, “Santa’s Village just officially opened next to the food court! You could totally ask Santa for a boyfriend!”
Maybe he should go over there and ask Santa for a boyfriend this year. Why not? He might give whatever old man pretending to be Santa a heart attack, but Yeonjun is willing to take that risk. This might be exactly what Yeonjun needs to get back into the holiday spirit.

“Not really,” Beomgyu said. “I’m a broke college student working a part-time job at a department store where everyone treats me like shit, living in the worst one-bedroom in the world.”
“Now that you mention it, this apartment is awful. You live like this?”
