“Your skin looks so pretty under the blue sun.” Phil sounds a hundred miles away, but when Dan opens his eyes, he’s staring right at him. “You look so pretty.”
For once, the urge to correct Phil leaves him. Dan doesn’t even laugh at his expense.
Dan can’t help but think they’re getting away with something. He always felt like this at home, but it astounds him that even fifteen hundred miles away, he still feels guilty. And that makes him feel a bit sick, if he's honest.
