Against all odds, Thorin survives the Battle of the Five Armies. Bilbo, grappling with his feelings, decides to stay in Erebor. But when the magical ring he’s been keeping secret starts whispering to him in the night, Bilbo knows he must heed its call. Thorin follows him, haunted by a strange vision. A second journey, a kingdom’s rebirth and many terrible truths await them under the mountain…

A visit to nearby artsy bar, the Prancing Pony, offers a glimpse into a more open world he had been missing, more so when it comes with literally running into a tall dark stranger in a blue lumberjack shirt.
