A brokenhearted Champion kills her apostate lover outside of the smoldering Chantry ruins. It is a heartbreaking ending to a tragic romance, and it is absolutely in no way an elaborate ruse to cover their tracks before going on the run together.
And neither of them would have the audacity to be turned on by the farce, either. Nope. Not even a little bit.
