Summary
It’s 1984. In the small Welsh town of Direidi, every day was the same and Remus was sick of it all - the same cobbled streets, the same boring small talk and now, the same strike. But when Lesbians & Gays Support the Miners arrive, and with them, Sirius Black, everything changes and the quiet voice in the back of Remus’s head that always told him he was different can’t be ignored anymore.

“You were together, weren’t you?” Sirius repeated gently when James didn’t say anything. “Like me and Moony? Whatever you want to call it - boyfriends, partners, lovers.”
James took a deep, shaky breath. Looking out at the drab London skyline, he thought of butterbeer foam and the astronomy tower and quidditch matches and spilled ink and stormy grey eyes.
“Worse,” James whispered finally, letting the tears softly roll down his face. “Much worse.”

Summary
At twenty eight years old, Sirius Black is well accustomed to what he believes his lot in life is and wants to make the best of it. He loves his friends dearly and their long-held tradition of the weekly pub quiz. He’s as happy as anyone like him deserves to be, but suddenly everything is changing and he can’t keep up. Isn’t it funny how quickly things can fall apart?
