Summary
Vi thought that, after everything she’d been through, she was done for with love. She didn’t need anybody and nobody needed her, she is rough and violent and hot-headed and comes with way more baggage than anyone would want to deal with.
Caitlyn is everything Vi isn’t, soft and kind in all the ways she herself isn’t. But she loves Vi and wants to take care of her and lead her toward the path of healing, and maybe that’s all Vi has ever needed.
Because if Vi can be loved by Caitlyn Kiramman, then she’s done something right.

Vi’s not entirely sure what emboldens her at that point. Maybe it’s the ridiculousness of the situation: in a brothel, a fancy Piltovan hides from her fancy colleagues in a decidedly unfancy storage cupboard.
Or maybe it’s the way that Cait’s fingers are digging into her hipbones, desperate. She tilts her chin up petulantly.
‘Make me.’
