Summary
Because yes, while what Mike and Will had was different from the rest of the Party—you’d have to be blind to not notice that whatever the two had going on was… loaded. Almost like an avalanche was bound to happen.
The craziest part? That’d be the only valid explanation for why the hell Mike acts so different with Will. He's always acted different with Will, even when he was in a relationship—which, in hindsight, is actually kind of insane. But it'd also give a reason as to why he’s acting like a total lovesick idiot right now, practically begging Will with his eyes like come on, Will, put your hand on mine, because alright, what the hell?
“Everyone in?”
So of course, Lucas smacks his hand on Mike’s first. Put the boy out of his damn misery.
But he’s looking at Will anyway, and—damn okay, maybe Mike’s a bigger yearner than Lucas gave him credit for.
Lucas is an observer. He's the ranger of the Party for a reason, after all. And after some recent observations, he's come to the conclusion that everything between Mike and Will would make zero sense if it really is just them being really, really good friends.
