Every year, the Codlands send one adult to Rivendell. There, they are the subject of the Thesian Ceremony, a week-long celebration that ends when the Cod is sent into the labyrinth that stretches out beneath Rivendell. It is said a horrible stag creature lurks within, and those who enter are never seen again.
To Lord Scott’s horror, this year’s tribute is none other than the Codfather himself.

Summary
Jimmy was never a fan of balls, he really wasn’t sure why he was here. Sure, he was an Emperor (with a capital E), but the Codlands were just a town compared to other kingdoms. It felt strange to wear the formal coddish attire outside of religious ceremonies, and the ballroom was absolutely filled with nobles and generals to the point that he felt suffocating. He was never a fan of balls. But... if he had to pick between spending the night by himself in his house or meeting his boyfriend secretly at Katherine’s yearly ball? Of course he’d pick the latter.
Or,
ESMP1 Jimmy and Scott are two rulers that are secretly courting against their councils’ wishes and they dance in secret and then KISS. Idk how to write a summary honestly, but its lovely and short and sweet, and the angst is minimal.

Summary
The man downstairs was not his husband.
Somehow, some way, a different Jimmy, one with haunted eyes and easy triggers, keeps momentarily taking over Scott’s husband Jimmy. But it’s still Jimmy, if a traumatised and terrified version, and Scott will be damned if he doesn’t take care of every iteration of his husband.
