The question left Pantalone’s lips with infuriating ease, lazy in tone, yet sharpened by intent. It was the voice of a predator who already knew the answer.
Of all the things the Ninth Harbinger could have demanded, this was not among their expectations. He could claim women of status, nobility, even royalty, yet here he stood, extending such an offer to a debt-ridden shopkeeper, a woman teetering on ruin. It bordered on absurdity.
“You can kiss my ass!” she snapped, a crooked grin flashing across her face—defiant, reckless, and wholly aware that this might be her final act of insolence. Life or death, there would be no pleading.
What would become of them should this arrangement, born of debt, obligation, and the gnawing hunger of abyssal energy, dare to bloom into something resembling affection? A union forged in necessity, yet tempered by proximity and shared danger…could it yield tenderness? Or would it crumble beneath the weight of their pride and their power?

“What would we do in a private room?”
Naruto felt hot watching him stroke his tie between his fingers. The dancer didn't seem to like the distraction. He gave the fabric a sharp tug, forcing Naruto to meet his eyes.
“We could do a lot of things. I’m a dancer, you know…” He wrapped a few more inches of Naruto’s tie around his palm, and the latter couldn’t help himself from sneaking another look down. He bit his lip to stifle a shaky exhale.
The dancer leaned into his space, his next words rasping in Naruto's ear:
“Do you want me to dance for you, Naruto?”
Naruto was sure he'd never wanted anything more in his life, actually.
OR: Naruto is a businessman dragged to a strip club. Sasuke is a dancer after his wallet. They fall in love throughout a sweltering New York summer.

Summary
Clark struggles with something his Ma might call jealousy after walking in on Bruce and Hal together after a mission. Instead of letting Clark's feelings ruin the Justice League's hard-won team cohesion, Bruce suggests an alternative arrangement: sleep together once, work the tension between them out of their systems, and then go back to normal afterward.
The problem with that plan? It's not just casual, and neither of them can ever go back to normal once it's all said and done.

In a world where soulmates are represented by animal familiars, Clark wonders if his soulmate is a cat. A literal domesticated feline animal that one could get from the pet store and not just a person with some cat-like personality traits. There’s no other explanation as to why his familiar acts like every single asshole cat meme to ever exist.
On the off chance his soulmate is a real human being, well… He would never tell his mother this, she raised him too well, but sometimes Clark wishes his soulmate’s familiar was making him feel just as miserable.

Bruce peels his eyes away from the monitors to look down at the menace on his lap and barely contains a look of disgust. Big blue eyes stare up at him as he rests his chin on Bruce’s thigh, and as their eyes meet, the pathetic, whimpering little whines are replaced by excited huffs, the clickity clack of dancing paws on concrete, and the rhythmic thumping of his tail hitting the leg of the table.
