Summary
Snape has been instructed to personally retrieve Harry Potter from the Dursley's home. Snape reluctantly agrees, convinced this is just another annoying task regarding the pampered, precious Boy Who Lived. But when Snape arrives at Privet Drive, he is greeted with disdain by the Dursleys, and observes Harry's poor living conditions and the harsh treatment he receives. Snape is forced to intervene and change how he sees Harry. Harry, in turn, gets to see a different side of the feared Potions Master.

Summary
This is the Dursley's time in hiding. Especially the moment the Dursleys finally find out what exactly Harry and his parents were fighting for.
A scene where Hestia and Dedalus get fed up with Petunia's and Vernon's attitude and set them straight about the Statute of Secrecy, some wizards trying to protect muggles and Voldemort being the leader of a group that wants to make Muggle hunting legal. Vernon and Petunia get it rubbed in what a miracle it is that Harry didn't join the dead eaters after how they have treated him.
envythenight wrote an amazing story about Dudley and what he experienced during the attack of the Dementors. But it stopped when the Dursleys went into hiding.
I highly recommend reading Dark is the Sky first, since this is borrowing a lot from that story, but the story is canon, so you can read this on its own too.
I expressed my wish to read how it would go on, and the wonderful envythenight encouraged me to write it myself. So here it is.
This was planned as a one shot, but I couldn't let it go, it didn't feel finished. But now it does, that's definitely it.- Language:

Summary
Sirius' heart ached as he watched Harry choke back tears as they discussed the circumstances around his name rising from the Goblet of Fire.The beautiful shade of green in the boy’s eyes was clouded over by pure fear, the color from his face was drained by it, which then made the forming dark circles under his eyes more prominent.
“I'm not ready for this, Sirius.” Harry’s voice quivered as he admitted it outloud, looking absolutely frightened. Sirius wished more than ever he could properly comfort the boy. But all he could say was “I’m afraid you don’t have much of a choice, pup.”
After talking to Harry in the common room, Sirius writes a letter to Severus begging for the man to help the boy as he is suffering from severe anxiety from his name rising from the Goblet of Fire and a recurring nightmare about Voldemort, Peter Pettigrew and a man he does not know saying he is coming after him. And of course it's always Severus who gets stuck with looking after 'The Boy Who Lived' but at least he can help the boy get to sleep.

Ron shuddered. “Whatever you say, mate.” But he couldn’t shake the jittery feeling of spiders crawling over his skin. “So if not spiders,” he asked, eager to change the subject, “what are you afraid of?”
Harry snorted, as if the answer were obvious. “Voldemort killed my parents, Ron.”
“He doesn’t count,” Ron protested, pointedly avoiding using the name. It still made him uncomfortable how Harry could speak the name so easily. “Everyone’s scared of him. I mean little things. Like heights, snakes, that kind of thing.”
Harry was quiet for a while. So long that Ron assumed he was ignoring his question. Which was fine. It was quite personal, after all.
