    “Don’t. Don’t do this. You don’t want to do this, Hood,” Dick rambles, the dreaded truth like lead on his tongue, a swallowed weight sinking in his stomach; it’s not Jason’s fault.

    He’s not in his right mind, but he’ll hate himself for it all the same. The same self-hate curdling in Dick’s gut now for getting them stuck in this situation in the first place.

    Jason wrenches Dick’s head forward again with both hands. “I’ve got you,” he whispers, voice sweet and soft, and it makes Dick’s throat constrict tight, as if the hands holding his jaw in a bruising cradle have moved down to really choke him.

    —

    Jason encounters Ivy’s pollen. Dick is bound, and about to discover that if three’s a pattern, four makes a habit.

    "Dick appeared in the doorway. He looked fine, hair ruffled by the wind, grocery bags in his hands, his jacket open despite the cold outside. Even with his lack of smile, his expression was far from unhappy or guilty, like one would have expected considering the fight with their father not so long ago. It shifted to mildly annoyed as soon as he spotted Jason, though.

    “You know, I gave you a key so you wouldn’t climb in the window and leave it open in the middle of winter,” his brother said, closing the door by pushing it with his feet and going to the open kitchen. He started sorting out his groceries, not looking at Jason, probably waiting for some sort of retort or whatever."

     

    OR: Jason comes at Dick's apartment to confront him after a fight with Bruce. It doesn't go as planned.
