“What?” Matt was very familiar with the look that Jay shot at him, the one that said we aren’t on the same page anymore, you’ve lost me. Put the breaks on. Slow the fuck down. There never was the option to slow down though, getting Jay on his side always felt like a race, one that would have him publicly executed if he didn’t come first.
“No, dude, like— like Videodrome. Remember? Do you think it’d really hurt?” He sat up and brought his leg back down, then moved them both up onto the couch so he could sit cross-legged. “She burns herself with a cigarette. You have to remember that. It's Debbie Harry."
