Summary
Healing magic - the ability to stitch yours or someone else's wounds together with a touch - spreads, ironically, like a disease. Get healed by someone, there's a small chance you'll become a healer yourself. Perhaps this was intended by a higher power to be a nice gesture. Someone helps you, and then gives you the power to pay it forward.
For Singed, this was an exploitable loophole.

Stepping out into the chill air, Connor paused to look up at the sky. Soft, distant stars twinkled in his field of view. The moon, full and bright, was among them. Distantly he wondered how humans could be scared of the dark. The glow of the moon was serene, kissing his fair-skinned cheekbones in a luminous glow. He couldn’t like anything. But he thinks, just for a moment, that if he could, he would say he liked it.

Tenna was on the decline.
If he wanted to keep his name in lights, he would be forced to get a little help from an up and coming big name in Cyber City. While not particularly impressed by their first meeting, Tenna knows that this “Spamton” fella was his best chance of getting with the times or risk being left behind.
All he needed was a little guidance and all of that little mailman’s secrets to success. He would bring him in, give him a little sweet talk, stroke his ego, and get the guy to sing like a canary.
He’d been in this business a long time, while Spamton was just getting started.
This would be too easy, he thought.
But soon, he would realize that Spamton was a more worthy rival than he’d first suspected, looking to take just as much from him and more. The question was: who would win?
