chapters 2 & 3 legit healed something in my lover soul. It made me realize what i did in middle and high school for my crushes and maybe-hopefully-friends, all those embarassing little lies like yeah this path is also the most convenient one to take to my home (all the while i'm going in the opposite direction), and all those times ive inconvenienced myself like yeah i can walk you to the store instead of going home despite it being really late and my moms def gonna yell at me, just to spend a couple of minutes (sometimes like one singular minute) more with someone i wish were my friend or maybe a bit more than a friend - that all of these things were not shameful. They're embarassing, but they are not shameful. They are just me being in love with people, and i should cherish those memories instead of getting upset with them. AO3 authors out here doing more work than therapists i swear AND ITS ANONYMOUS WHICH MAKES ME CRY I WANT MORE OF THIS

“That’s not true.”
“And you’re nice. You’re a good mentor. You’re good at what you do. You’re treating him right–equally. Somewhat.” Dana said, moving through the motions of teasing and assuring Robby that he wasn’t the worst person in the world.
“Somewhat?” Robby crossed his arms.
“You’re just…” Dana grabbed both of his shoulders as if to make an example out of him, “Touchy.”
