a between fics thing i wrote set AFTER the basketball game fic i wrote in the summer, and before their america arc which... i have plans for... hm... or had, i've kinda forgotten them now. kagami and aomine are forced to grow up and learn some communication skills, which, trust me, they would rather not do. kagami calls his dad and that goes about as well as it usually does. that guy does not give a fuck about his son, that much is clear for everyone except kagami taiga to see.
aomine gets his feelings hurt, and decides to repay the favour. but it all works out in the end :)

tarzan AU aokaga inspired by the wonderful mind of @MereMichelle ! taiga is tarzan, daiki is sort of jane sort of clayton sort of his own thing, and wakamatsu is there! i don't particularly ship wakamatsu/momoi but i thought he'd fit pretty well into this scenario as an aggravating presence for daiki, and i think they'd be cute together anyway :')
so i wanted to make the language in this fit more in keeping with the time period tarzan is set in (late 1800s), while still feeling like daiki. it was pretty difficult to balance, and there are a few instances of historical inaccuracies but we're just running with it, ok? they're all still japanese, and they speak japanese, but i did have the three of them (wakamatsu, momoi, daiki) all go over to london to study nondescript nature degrees just for fun. i've really enjoyed writing this one!! i hope you enjoy it too :') it is currently at 18k (edit: 70k) words so it's another long one!!
a big thank you to everyone who has supported me on my insane aokaga fic writing endeavour this year! i have enjoyed getting to know you guys so so so much, i absolutely adore comments so even if it's just a lil emoji please know that it makes me so happy!! :D

seirin high and touou academy meet again for the interhigh championships in their second year! it's the first big game since taiga and daiki started dating, so nerves are running high. can seirin beat touou after their winning streak at the winter cup? will daiki hate him forever if he beats him? what if they lose, though? taiga has to deal with a whole host of things, which he will be dealing with in the best way he knows how: through basketball.
i wrote a game! i'm pretty proud of it. :)

a family trip to the beach is a summertime must, unfortunately. daiki doesn't like hanging out with his younger cousins, he doesn't like having to make small talk with his awkward uncle, and he doesn't like not being able to slip away and do his own thing. this time, though, he brings his boyfriend taiga along! taiga was probably a merman in his past life, because he is totally at home at the beach. daiki is also pretty sure if taiga told him to walk into the sea, he just might.
daiki is head over heels for him, but he still hasn't properly told him how he feels because he's worried about how taiga will react. the guy is so skittish about relationship stuff! oh well, he's willing to wait,

what do we know about kagami's dad? he lives in america as a high-level consultant. he's a single parent with no inclination to remarry. he's a busy man, with a busy schedule, and that often meant working late. he hired nannies for kagami when he was growing up, but he didn't like them and he would often run away. roughly aged 10, he was allowed to roam an unfamiliar city ALONE. he got into a lot of near death experiences that he learnt very quickly to not make a big deal of. before meeting himuro, kagami was highly concerned with not appearing too "gloomy", but he was so, so lonely.
now, we'll meet him. sort of.
the above is all canon btw, i'm not making shit up for FUN :( unfortunately, i believe that kagami's dad (i've named him asao) is trying his best.

this series can be read chronologically, starting from FINDING LOVE ON A THURSDAY. which is set just before the winter cup rematch. it covers the development of a months-long slow burn where the boys weigh up the risks of telling their favourite rival that they have a crush on him! some of these are written in kagami pov, and some are in aomine pov. they're stupid teenagers who don't like talking about their feelings, what could possibly go wrong?
