Putting up with Seifer’s antagonistic bouts of unchecked emotion only pushed me to get stronger... One time when he was being an asshole he called me an “Ice Queen”, but... Hearing that instantly made my mind go back to that snowfield in Trabia, on that cursed joint training mission with the Gardens... I always thought it was a fever dream brought on by hypothermia—a dying woman in a heavy fur cloak reaching out to me, a blinding snowstorm, the harsh sound of the wind... then I woke up fevered in the village inn. Sometimes I still dream of a howling arctic wind... I don’t know if that really happened, or what it means...
