“I’m just so damn happy! We are finally going to fix up my heart and I can go home.” Suddenly she stood, pacing quickly around their small space. “We can go home.” She glanced back at Tav with such adoration that Tav nearly swooned. “We can leave this awful place and I can tell Zariel to fuck right off.” There was a manic, excited undercurrent to her voice and she got louder as she continued.
“We are going home!” She shouted, raising up clenched fists in victory. The statement echoed off the rock walls surrounding them and made it seem like the universe was celebrating too.
“Of all things, I think this definitely warrants a drink, don’t you?” Tav laughed and a grin spread across Karlach’s face.
“Fuck yes.”
Journeying to Avernus isn't how Tav expected to settle down after saving Baldur’s Gate, but she would do anything for the tiefling who stole her heart. She didn't expect to find hope in the hells either but the gods clearly had different plans. Following Tav and Karlach post game in Avernus. Spoilers abound.
