"In a bit, 'm wanna watch them," Kara replied, mouth wrapping around her words slowly as she nodded at where Alex and Kelly were wrapped up in each other, slow-dancing on the makeshift dance floor.
They observed them from their own little bubble, and with every breath Kara took, she could feel the tiny puffs on her neck. Sometimes, her lips would graze the sensitive skin there, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine and leaving a tingling sensation in its place. Her heart was now thundering in her chest, there was no way the Kryptonian couldn't hear it now, drunk or otherwise.
"I hope we get there someday," Kara sighed out into her shoulder and Lena froze, body stiffening in Kara's arms.

Then she looked in the mirror.
Leather.
Chloé was wearing not only a full-body leather suit, but on top of that she wore leather gloves, boots and a belt. Leather-on-leather! An atrocity! Even worse, Chloé’s hair was pulled out of its neat ponytail, and had turned into a mess of curls. Chloé spent an hour every morning having her butler straighten her hair, she didn’t want it to revert to it’s natural curly state every time she transformed! The excessive leather did not even spare her head, giving her both leather ears and a leather mask that tinted her sclera blue.
If Chloé’s mother, the Queen of Fashion, ever saw this, Chloé knew exactly what she would say: “Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!”
So this is why superheros had secret identities.

Yeah, Raven isn’t even touching that last one. Not because it’s complicated and dense and personal, but because she understands Lex Luthor. Not his nihilistic and narcissistic complexes, but the pure, unfiltered obsession of an alien. But while Lex’s obsession led him to conducting untold atrocities worldwide in the spirit of bringing the Man of Steel low, Raven’s obsession is so much milder, and yet more difficult in its simplicity.
She really, really wants to make out with Starfire.
