Do you know what Tears of Lys does to a person?” She turned her face to his once more, an eerie serenity to her expression. “I had no idea myself, but the maester enlightened me. He explained to me in great detail how it eats away at your insides as you die a slow, tortuous death. It’s so subtle, most people mistake it for a disease of the bowels. Nothing to be done for it. Fortunate, I suppose, that I haven’t had much appetite these days.”
After Varys' summary execution, Jon goes to find Daenerys to talk to her. The conversation is enlightening, in more ways than one. Season 8 fix-it fic.

When their lives converge again at King's Landing for their wedding, one misunderstanding leads to another until they both find themselves dreading their fate.
