Summary
He knows what he wants.
It's the same thing he's wanted since he first saw Tony standing a demure step behind his alpha, in an omega styled pink suit and sharply intelligent eyes that went wide and dazed when he saw Steve, and amused at every subtle slight toward his husband.
He wants Tony.

No one could touch the way we
Laughed in the dark, talkin' 'bout your daddy's farm
We were gonna buy someday
And we were happy~
The old farmhouse still looks like it used to in Steve’s memory: faded white walls, creaky porch, dark shutters framing glass obscured by lacy curtains. His dad clearly hadn’t bothered with the exterior remodeling he’d been talking about for more than twenty years then. Steve hadn’t thought he would. Joseph Rogers hadn’t been known for finishing projects. For all he knows, the interior didn’t get done either.

Summary
You left your typewriter at my apartment
Straight from the tortured poets department
I think some things I never say
Like, "Who uses typewriters anyway?"~
“A typewriter?” Steve asks, hefting the offending item.
Tony rolls his eyes and points at the oversized garbage bag they’d dragged in so they can throw out all of Justin’s things that he left in Tony’s apartment. “Yeah, he had this idea of becoming the next great American writer a la Ernest Hemingway or John Steinbeck, so obviously, he needed the typewriter to complete the look.”
Steve snorts. “Pretentious.”
The typewriter lands in the trashbag with a cacophonous crash of clacking keys and reverberating springs.

It's something we all try to ignore
And put a wreath up on your door
So here's something you should know that is for sure
Christmas must be something more~
When Steve and Tony first announced that their surrogate was pregnant, Clint, the only other Avenger with children, came up to them to tell them that everything about their lives was about to change.
“Especially the holidays,” he’d chuckled. “You think you guys like Christmas now? Just wait until you’re celebrating with a kid.”

Someday, I'll be livin' in a big, ole city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Someday, I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean~
Honestly, Tony knows that he’s not supposed to read his negative press, but Lefsetz is a big enough name in the industry, and after his Grammy win, when he’d seen the title, he’d assumed that it was going to be a positive review of what his fans are calling the Fearless Era. Instead, it had just been… mean. Tony has gotten plenty of bad reviews over the last four years, but Lefsetz’s had just felt like it crossed a line.
And when he’s feeling strong emotions, he writes a song about it.
