“The schoolroom must’ve been your playground,” Commodore Bang said, easing deeper into his chair. “I hope you’ll be pleased with the one I’ve prepared, Miss Son.”

The chewing noise is a lot louder now.
Then it hits him; his father is being eaten.

One night, Minho slips up. He's high on adrenaline, the same one he always feels when he feeds, and that's why he doesn't hear the footsteps coming closer, he doesn't hear the heavy panting, he doesn't smell the fear. He's too entranced in the body in front of him, the meat in front of him, the strong taste he's always loved on his tongue.
