  Summary

  The lumberjack was dying. There was no other way to put it, and the young mayor knew that. Somewhere in the universe, there had to be a solution that would cure his terrible pain; neither of the two could keep living like this. But could the mayor really do that to his friend? And would the lumberjack himself willingly choose to be condemned to a life such as his own?
