Summary
"I have to go", Martin says, and Jon knew, he knew, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. "Jon", he says again, more insistently, though the urging tone is laced through with something straining, pained. "Jon, I have to- I need to go."
"I know", Jon says, doesn't move.
"This shouldn't have happened", Martin says into the space between them, even as his fingers clench around Jon's waist.
"I know."
"We should regret this", Martin whispers, and maybe he's right. He should be right.
Jon swallows.
"I know."
~oOo~
Or, the one where an invisible Martin catches Jon in a moment of pining intimacy, is discovered, and they have even more desperately pining sex about it.

Summary
Much to Elias’ dismay, Jon doesn’t actually want to be an Archivist.
Also… well, as Georgie put it: “There are only two situations where you’d say someone ‘died in the line of duty’: if they were actually a literal soldier, or else if you’re a serial killer and you’re not actually that committed to pretending you didn’t kill them. Unless Gertrude died in a top-secret war that’s going on in the basement of the Magnus Institute, I see only one option here.”
Jon glared, but Georgie shrugged. “Sorry, Jon, I just call it like I see it. Your boss is a serial killer and you’re next on his hit list. Probably best not to take his creepy cursed job position.”
~
In which Jon and Georgie are flatmates, the archives crew rock their dysfunction to the fullest, and the only thing that resembles canon is the way absolutely no one is cishet.

Summary
Tim worries.
Jon is clearly afraid that Tim might not come back from this, but meanwhile, there are far too many scenarios in Tim's mind where Jon is the one who doesn't make it out.
He's determined not to let that happen. He spent every day for over a month forced to watch what Nikola did to Jon, unable to stop her, unable to help. He's not going to let that happen again.
Tim is here to take down the Circus. But he'll be damned if he lets them take Jon down with them.
After escaping from their ordeal with the Circus, things between Tim and Jon are...better. A lot better.
But Nikola is still out there, and the Unknowing is still going to happen, unless they manage to stop it. And both Tim and Jon are desperate to make sure that the other makes it out alive.
(A continuation/extrapolation of "The Kindness of Strangers")
Update: Now with a small bonus scene of the aftermath of the Unknowing, with a bit of jonmartin.

Summary
“Do you mind if I sit?”
The man is thin, in an underfed sort of way. He doesn’t look that old, but his hair is streaked with grey, and there are lines of weariness around his eyes. There's something about him that reminds Martha of her late husband.
_____
While waiting for the nurse to call her into her routine surgical operation, Martha Sims meets a strange, vaguely familiar man.
