Summary
Seokmin knew it was wrong. He knew he should walk away, listen, be careful. He knew what people expected of him.
But all he could think about was Joshua wrapped in blankets, feverish and pale, trying to pretend he was fine while pushing everyone away.
All he could think about was the way Joshua always smiled gently and said he did not want anyone to get sick too.
Joshua was cautious to a fault. He kept distance even when he needed comfort. He swallowed his weakness so others would not have to carry it. He would never ask Seokmin to stay.
And that was the problem.
Seokmin pressed his palms into his thighs, nails digging in, heart racing with something dangerously close to resolve.
He wanted to be beside him. Needed to. Even if it meant standing outside the door. Even if it meant watching from the hallway. Even if it meant getting sick too.

Summary
“I know that this time of year is very stressful for many of you, and I want to thank you for your hard work despite the many cases of illness.” Seungcheol cleared his throat.
“In order to maintain a good working atmosphere, we have...” This time, Soonyoung started coughing violently next to Seokmin, and Seokmin looked at him in confusion. Seungcheol rolled his eyes almost imperceptibly. “That's why I have come up with something for this year.”
People began to sit up straighter in their chairs, and Seokmin didn't have a very good feeling about this.
“We're going to play Secret Santa at our Christmas party.”
Someone behind Seokmin groaned in agony, probably Jihoon, and Seokmin couldn't even blame him. Probably some of the others were thinking the same thing. Only Soonyoung still seemed to be in a very good mood. Slowly, Seokmin began to understand...
“This is your fault, isn't it?” he whispered to his neighbour.
“I don't know what you mean,” he replied innocently. Seokmin groaned and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “God, Soonyoung, you can't be serious.”
“Just listen, you'll thank me.”
