Summary
Plagued by constant strife, the realm of Aophesh struggles against the whims of powerful lords, each of whom seeks power for their own personal gain. Storytellers and historians alike claim it has been this way for centuries. “A godless world is bound to meet its end with mortal hubris.” And yet, amidst the shadows lurking at the edges of the realm, a shred of light pierces through. A blessing is bestowed upon a small village, bringing light to a web of conspiracies within the foundation of the Ru’aun region. As more and more discord is sowed, a flame is sparked that may well draw the eyes of gods once thought dead.
All the while, a collection of the tales and histories of Aophesh sits nestled in a grand library. Each owes its existence to different writers and transcribers, though all were bound together by the same hands. If the gods themselves see this book worthy of a spot in their collection, perhaps it holds the priceless secrets of Aophesh.

Summary
An AU of sorts of the Fade bit, and after.
It was the hardest climb she had ever done in her life. A sheer cliff face with few hand holds, and even fewer places to rest her aching muscles. She slipped more than once, scraping her chin and cheek and biting her tongue from the repeated impacts with the face of the pillar. She lost nails and skin on her hands, feet, elbows, and knees as she fought for every inch of progress upwards. Her legs ached and her arms shook. Tears coursed down her cheeks unchecked, stinging at the raw and bloodied skin of her face. Her ribs screamed in agony as she pulled herself upwards through sheer will and determination, feet scrambling for any sort of purchase below. Inch by aching inch, she disappeared into the foggy sky of the Fade until she could barely see her hands above her as she pulled herself ever onwards.
