That woman's powers are real vicious, he remembers thinking to himself as he looked at Riyo’s crumpled form on the ground. Real vicious.

"Have you decided you no longer like having a roof over ya head?" Zanka replies, forgoing greetings entirely. It differs from the perspective Follo had once held of him, a clan child bathed in silver, weapon in his hand from birth and yet so totally ill-mannered.
Is it rebellion which has him forgetting his etiquette classes or is this simply his nature? It's hard for Follo to decide.

Zanka was the first to spot him, back when he was a fledgling cleaner tasked with taking out an infant Trash Beast. He'd completed the job, turned to face a crowd of admirers and instantly noticed the odd-one-out. Follo hadn't seemed impressed or even appreciative. He'd been as pale as a new moon, like Zanka had lost and been mauled right there and then.

Summary
When Vein first laid eyes on Xia Fei, his traitorous heart stuttered in his chest. Simply out of minor infatuation with a pretty face, of course, but it was surprising enough to startle him. Xia Fei came to him as this awkward, reticent college student in need of a job and, despite the nervous energy vibrating his frame, seemed determined enough to be there.
“I heard you were hiring models here. So.” He keeps his eyes focused on something behind Vein’s head as he toys with the sleeve of jacket. “So here I am.”
Vein smiles, unable to contain his interest. “Here you are.”

Scar's throat shivers where Rover licks along his tacet mark.
"I like it."
"How much do you like it? In honor of trust."
"Could come like this. I will if you don't stop."

Scar was, once, long ago, the black lamb from the story he told in the ruined village- cruelty skewed his worldview. He tries to show Rover that trust is not freely given by hugging him, expecting Rover to pull away, and Rover tries to teach him that not everything is black and white by hugging him back. And then Rover accidentally touches his tacet mark. It's all heat and trust from there.
