Once he caught it trying to mosey onto the El with him - a fucking three hundred pound grizzly, moving like a raccoon, skulking in the shadows almost all the way to the stop. He said, "No way, man," and the bear whuffed, huge, rank, rotten-salmon breath slamming into him like one of those guys at Wake Forest, and he thought, okay, okay, maybe this, maybe now, with those great claws in his shoulders, with those enormous teeth pressed up against his cheek.
