Summary
This year, there were a few constants that Max could not help noticing each race.
One, that his car would try to kill him one time out of three.
Two, that one or both of the McLarens would bottle the race no matter how well they started, for reasons within their control or not.
And three, that there would be a game-changing safety car, and that safety car would inevitably fuck everything up for one George Russell, who had definitely inherited all the karmic debt of the British Empire because he was a goddamn monarchist in the grand year of 2026.
Baku Grand Prix 2026. George Russell wins the first grand slam of his career with a mad Dutchman on his tail.

Summary
1985. FBI Agent Max Verstappen is a man built on facts and fury. Sent to the stifling, god-fearing town of Jericho, Mississippi to investigate a series of grisly, occult-tinged murders, he expects Bible-thumpers and dead ends. What he gets is George Russell: a gentle British seminarian teaching Sunday school who speaks of faith and sees things Max can’t.
Forced together as the killer circles closer, Max's cynical world fractures under George's unsettling empathy. In a town where shadows twist scripture into something monstrous, their only sanctuary is each other.

Summary
And – there. He’d not even been conscious of it, and he’d hardly call it lap-ruining, Max’s over-correction to the subtle movement a total overreaction, but. He switches to his onboard and it’s as if the steering wheel jumps in his steady grip, fights him like there’s a magnet on Max’s car as he passes before he realigns.
Weird.
