Summary
Cas looks even more tired than Dean feels. His eyes are red and the bags under them are more prominent than ever. His hair is a hot mess, reminding Dean of the time when Cas was still able to take off any second with just a flick of his wings. The cut on his neck is covered with a white bandage now and he wears different clothes, a gray sweatpants and a black shirt with a hole on the collar, that Dean recognizes as one of his. It makes him look different. It makes him look soft.
Dean likes it a lot.

Cas is back and that is great. Except that it worries Dean how much Cas struggles to adjust to humanity, haunted by nightmares and memories every night. So it's just a gesture of their friendship, despite Castiel's feelings for him, when Dean offers Cas to stay with him at night.

Summary
On paper, the plan seemed simple.
Jack opens the portal between the worlds. Dean walks into the Empty and makes it loud enough to wake the dead. Drag Cas’s feathery ass out of there. Simple, right?Cloaked in Cas’s grace, tape deck in hand with Van Halen blasting out its little speaker, he plans to bring the angel home and tell Cas all the things left unspoken between them for all these years. Now they have a chance, he can’t throw this all away. The only problem is, the Empty has other ideas. It doesn't stop Dean however, it’s his turn to be the one who drags Cas out of perdition.

Summary
I just finished yet another SPN rewatch and really wanted Dean to get a happy ending this time. Of course, he didn't, so I wrote this.
This is just a short bit of fluff about the immediate aftermath of Dean saving Cas from The Empty (following the series finale).

Dean threw the remainder of his burger down on his plate (he never leaves food unfinished, so this was troubling) and got up to storm out, saying along the way that he is not an adherent of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has no desire to be a “sister wife” to my two existing wives, and that if I actually want to marry him one day, I should get two divorces before daring to ask for his hand again... Am I the asshole?

Summary
Dean knows he's never been one to pray. Hell, God was a jackass before, and now God is just... Jack. Nothin' on the FM.
The only time he could ever bring himself to pray anyway was to... well. Maybe it doesn't hurt to try. Y'know, on the off chance that someone is listening.A world where Dean doesn't die and Castiel avoids a hard conversation.
