Miracle Zeppelin Winchester was a goddamn stalker!
It was bad enough when his dog was trying to get the attention of every passer-by that walked under Dean’s apartment balcony, but now he had developed this weird obsession with the man who lived in the building opposite.
His best friend Charlie was no help. She got a kick out of the whole thing and even went as far as filming his dogs “pining” for TikTok. Now the entire internet knows about his canine peeping-tom, including the man who holds Miracles' affections. Dean just wanted the earth to swallow him whole.
Thankfully, his neighbour didn’t seem to be mad about the whole thing; in fact, Castiel took it all in his stride. And after the chance run-in at the beach (pun very much intended!) Dean was starting to think that maybe posting that TikTok wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

Castiel Novak has spent years loving Dean in the quiet spaces between what’s said and what isn’t. He’s learned to live on scraps – shared beds, secret touches. But after another night of giving too much and waking up to nothing, Cas finally draws the line. He can’t do this anymore. He doesn’t want to call it off, but if he won’t call it love, he’ll just go find someone else to call him baby. He's tired of opening his heart to someone who just sees him as an explicit kind of love affair.
Dean Winchester never meant to fall in love with his best friend. Sure, he can shoot another shot to try and stop the feeling, but Castiel has always been the one thing that feels real. Still, fear kept his mouth shut and his heart locked up – until he sees someone else’s hand on Cas, someone else leaning in to make him laugh. Jealousy simmers into something sharp and desperate because losing Cas? That would wreck him. But under the glitter and neon lights he’s suddenly standing in the face to face with "I told you so” and starting to realise he may already have.

Dean thought it would be hard to get a transfer to a different state, but all it took was a few forms to fill in and a talk with the chief and he was on his way to Los Angeles as Station 118’s newest member.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly until Dean had the misfortune of uttering the dreaded “Q word” and thrusting him and the rest of B-shift into the most chaotic shift imaginable. Thankfully he has the handsome head paramedic Castiel to show him the ropes and welcome him to the 118 family.

Alone and asleep in the Empty Castiel dreams. Usually, vivid, painful nightmares fabricated by the dark with his beloved front and centre of these retched dreams. But even though Dean was the main focus his presence still comforted Castiel, it meant that no matter how bad it got the Empty would never let him forget him or the things he was capable of.
Which makes it all the more compelling when his righteous man is right there, knelt over him in the dark with the promise of taking him home.Is this real? Or is Castiel still asleep?

Summary
Life was almost perfect in Dean Winchester's eyes. He tried not to think about the not-perfect bits all too much, this was heaven after all, the happiest place not on Earth. But if he was being honest with himself, he felt lonely.
That's not to say he didn't appreciate the litany of women throwing themselves at him in search of a little after-life fun, they were just unfortunately the wrong kind of fun (or people) he was looking for. There was only one person Dean wanted to see it was clear he was avoiding him.

This project is a love letter to all who made Supernatural what it is today–its creative team AND its fans.
You do not need any prior knowledge of “Chuck won” as an angle of analysis–or even any prior familiarity with Supernatural meta–
to read this. Knowledge of season 15 is encouraged, but hopefully my descriptions are enough to clue you in or refresh your memory when needed.For a lot of people, chunks of this won't be new to you. That's cool. But I do think there is value in seeing all of the pieces together in one place to create the full picture. Regardless, while the sections and chapters are written to build upon each other in an order, they also stand on their own merit if you want to skim or skip around.
My goal was to make this concept as accessible as possible to anyone who may be interested in it.

Summary
Castiel is years past healing from a mental breakdown that landed him in the hospital for several months, until a certain green-eyed heartbreaker somehow strolls back into his life and starts to bleed into every aspect of Cas' life that apparently wasn't as stable as he thought.
Dean's just looking for safety; relief from the oppressive weight of his depression when he stumbles across a kind and genuine college student who just doesn't want to feel lonely anymore.
Sam wants more than the complicated relationship he has with his brother, but after years of abuse and misunderstandings he's afraid that he and Dean will never be able to move past the things that tore them apart in the first place.
Gabe wasn't trying to make things difficult for Castiel, but unfortunately Cas has the worst taste in men and in his defense, Dean is nothing like what Gabe was picturing.Series
