The view gave her pause, for a minute, as it sometimes did—Skye knew she shouldn’t let herself get attached, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t look, right?—and she stood, watching his forehead crease with concentration and his grey tee stretch across his shoulders, for a few seconds too long.
