When Robb climbed off his horse his boots sank several inches into the mud. He never imagined he’d be glad to find himself back in the Neck, surrounded by swamp on all sides, but at the very least it meant they were safe. For now, in any case.

It had been a risky decision but they’d ridden out with thirty or so men rather than none at all and to Robb, that was worth it.
