Cahara leans back in his chair, watching Enki pace back and forth across the room. He’s been at it for a good ten minutes, at least. “Sorry?” he offers.
Enki whips around, pointing a long crooked finger in his direction. “Don’t,” he warns. “Don’t speak.”
Cahara flashes him a winning smile. “I thought the entire point of this meeting was for me to speak.”
“That was before I knew it was you,” he stresses.

Cahara brings the girl to the dark altar. She becomes the God of Fear and Hunger. She brings Cahara to the tenth level.

Summary
The problem wasn't that Will was Strohl's soulmate, no. Strohl was over the moon to know that his dearest friend was his destiny– though he'd known that from the moment that they'd shook hands.
The problem was that Will didn't seem to know that Strohl was his soulmate at all. The misfortune never seemed to end, in his case– was he truly part of a one-sided bond? Or did Will simply not want him…?
No matter. Strohl would do his best to try and seduce him regardless.

He knew he ought to be more careful about making her laugh, as he didn't want her stitches to come undone, but he couldn't help it. Rita hadn't had an easy delivery. It was fortunate they lived close enough to Conning Creek's guild of apothecaries for her to see a professional, because Osvald didn't know what he would have done if he'd been the one to see the baby coming feet-first. Even the intermediate apothecaries present hadn't been able to rotate Elena from the outside. It hadn't been easy for Osvald to watch a surgeon cut into Rita's abdomen to retrieve their child, but of course he knew how much harder and how much more painful it must have been for Rita. He longed to see his wife smile again, and, holding their newborn daughter and hearing his academic musings, she did.
No major spoilers. Familiarity with Octopath 2 not required.

Galo’s mind is racing just as fast as his heart is beating, trying helplessly to figure out what on Earth is crouched above him, baring those sharp teeth at him, when it hits him.
A memory rises of Aina at the bar, drunkenly whispering about Heris and her work researching dark creatures that supposedly roam the nighttime streets of Promepolis and the surrounding desert. “They’re not cryptids, Galo!” She’d said, slapping his bicep. “I swear she’s found real supernatural beings out there! Vampires, or something!”
Vampire!AU in which Galo happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (or is it the right time?) and encounters Lio, a vampire with a stubborn streak that finds Galo alluring in more ways than one. They can't seem to stay away from one another, after that.
