The day Zoro agreed to follow Luffy was the day Zoro’s life changed.
He wouldn’t have expected it given his current circumstance of being strung up in the yard, crucified and on display for the entire marine base to mock and gawk at. Yet, even though his predicament couldn’t get much worse—having been beaten and starved up until this point—there was an irritating hope that presented itself in the form of a scrawny boy wearing a straw-hat. Zoro caught a scent in the air, his nose tickling with recognition.

There’s—a certain stance, maybe, or the way light hits his captain just right when he stands on the rail of the Merry, all sharp curves of jawline and the gentle slope of his neck and bare shoulders. The contrast of his dark hair and tanned skin. The swell of his calf, too, Zoro finds distracting. The artful leanness of his captain.
In those moments Zoro’s knees go weak. He nearly drops his swords, he’s so overcome with it.
Beautiful, he thinks, and he’s got no clue if it’s him or his alpha thinking it. Beautiful. We'd be so good to you.

Until Hinata is folding the laundry one morning, singing a silly little song to himself, and when he turns around the wolf on his bed is no longer a wolf but a man (unfamiliar, handsome, naked)—
“Oh my god,” the naked man says, grinning. “You sing while you work? That’s so… cute.”
He’s got wolf ears on his head and a fucking tail. Mortified and terrified in equal parts, Hinata does the only thing he can think of in the moment: launch a full-out, empty-handed attack while screaming loudly enough to wake the dead.
