I wrote this during the Infinite Crisis arc, which had me down. I could not believe the way Superman and Batman abandoned--and judged--Wonder Woman for doing what had to be done: slaying the monster. Even if in this case the monster was a man. So this is not just Superman/Wonder Woman, it's about the three of them, too (but not in a threesome sort of way). Their friendship: the great Trinity. Don't think you'll have to have read the comics to get this. They rebooted the comics right after all this and then rebooted them again, so this is in the way, way back. Before Superman/Wonder Woman really were a couple (with their own book, even). Thanks to Harmony Bites, DC Lady, and Trekkigirl for the betas.
