Summary
Pure Vanilla reached out with his warm hands to the cold Beast, burning from his barb. Whatever the ancient did, Shadow Milk refused to give in, refusing to let him see beneath the surface of his intentions. Who would have thought that the impetus to unravel the riddle of the jester's soul would come from the Spire of Deception, almost betraying its master?

Summary
The fae cannot lie—but that does not make them honest. Bound to truth, yet they embrace deceit.
Many believe creatures who cannot lie must be easy to outwit. Those mortals rarely survive long enough to regret the mistake, for the fae’s games are cruel, precise, and merciless—and every grave consequence is earned without a single false word spoken.
Or; A Fae King meets a skeptical mortal trapped in a fairy ring.Series

Summary
When Pure Vanilla comes back after the Dark Flour War, he doesn’t wind up on the outskirts of the Vanilla Kingdom with friends to help him as he regains his memories. Instead, he winds up in Beast Yeast, spending his days reading travelers’ fortunes and healing those who overestimated themselves.
Alone in a foreign continent, he winds up in the clutches of Shadow Milk, who has much more sinister plans for an amnesiac Ancient.

Or, Pure Vanilla comes back as Fortune Teller rather than Healer, and Shadow Milk is all too eager to twist this opportunity and Pure Vanilla for his own gain.Bookmarked by smilkcrown

Summary
Shadow Milk’s expression was rapt.
Wide eyes shone with a kind of unholy reverence, mouth parted ever so slightly, caught in the middle of tasting some rare, delicate confection he dared not ruin with sound. His chest rose and fell as though he had run a great distance, but his body remained still, hovering before the open balcony. And his pupils… They quivered.
Truthless Recluse stared, baffled. The fury that had so forcefully burned in him now stalled, tangled in the web of whatever this face was. It was not victory. It was not anger. It wasn’t even pleasure, that it made the air between them feel suddenly obscene.
Shadow Milk licked his lips slowly, dreamily, as if savoring the echo of the Recluse’s voice. He gripped the edge of the balcony railing with one hand, anchoring himself against the sheer entertainment of it, legs curled slightly inward, head tipping back as if receiving something divine. “Say more,” he pleaded with a miserably throaty mutter, “Say anything with that little quake. Say my name like you hate the way it tastes.”

Summary
When Pure Vanilla throws open the balcony doors and holds his staff aloft, the first thing he sees are the tree’s branches devoid of his feathered friends. It’s an unwelcome sight, a clear departure from their usual routine. Had something happened? Has someone drawn them away?
A flutter of movement draws his eyes upwards towards the roof; instantly, relief floods through Pure Vanilla’s jam. The flock is mercifully still here, perched above his head on a nearby rooftop. They are, however, strangely silent and still, huddled closely together while glancing between Pure Vanilla and the tree. Pure Vanilla follows their nervous gaze, peering into the branches as he holds his staff high –
Only to spy a long, lithe form curled in the shadows.
