Summary
Yoo Jae-yi has everything—fame, fortune, and a face that could make nations swoon. As the biggest superstar in the industry, people either worship her or want to be her. But the one person who doesn’t seem the least bit impressed? Her new bodyguard, Woo Seul-gi.
Seul-gi is all business. No unnecessary conversations, no personal opinions, and definitely no falling for her ridiculously charming, maddeningly persistent employer. Jae-yi, however, has other plans. Because the moment Seul-gi walked into her life, the game was on.
So, what happens when a superstar who always gets what she wants meets a bodyguard who refuses to give in?
After all, falling in love?
Yeah, that definitely wasn’t in the job description. -

Summary
They should hate each other. They don’t. Not really. Instead, they fall into each other like it’s a bad habit—slow, aching, inevitable. Between grief and guilt, and silence, they find something that feels like love. Or maybe just the start of it.

"You’re dead." The words slipped out before Seul-gi could stop them.
Yoo Jae-yi blinked, then snorted. "Rude."
Seul-gi nearly dropped dead herself.
"Wh—what—how—" Words failed her. Her heart was fighting for its life.
Jae-yi tilted her head, watching her with an infuriating mix of amusement and curiosity. "You should really work on forming complete sentences."
Seul-gi took a step back. Then another. "You’re supposed to be—you're—how—"
"Ghosts don’t drink coffee," Jae-yi pointed out, raising the mug like it was evidence. She took a step forward.
Seul-gi didn’t care. "DON’T COME NEAR! YOU’RE A DAMN GHOST!"
Jae-yi laughed. Actually laughed. "And you’re dramatic."

Summary
Basically, they are in university. They are academic rivals (at least, in the mind of Seul-gi and everyone else). They hook up at a party. Seul-gi assumes it was just a one-time thing. Jae-yi assumes they are now dating. Neither of them bothers to clarify.
Cue months of miscommunication, stolen kisses, and Seul-gi trying (and failing) to pretend she’s not obsessed with Jae-yi. Meanwhile, Jae-yi is just happily being Seul-gi’s totally-official, totally-not-casual girlfriend… even though Seul-gi doesn’t know it yet.
It’s messy. It’s ridiculous. It’s two idiots in love who can’t talk to each other.

Summary
But here and now, her infatuation and endless ire with the woman next to her would only widen, growing to swallow her whole. Her mother seals their fate with a stern, decided gaze. Her mother clears her throat, her cup of tea already half drank in front of her before she speaks.
“In light of yesterday, and with the threat of Noxus looming over us, I’ve decided to appoint Ser Violet to be your sworn protector. Wherever you go, she goes.”
The finality in her tone steals the air from Caitlyn’s lungs. She can feel Vi stiffen next to her, her breathing an increment heavier. Caitlyn dares a side-long glance, anger dancing on the tip of her tongue, and is stunned to see Vi already staring at her, open and almost wild."
OR
Vi, a knight of the Queen’s Guard, is personally appointed by the Queen, Cassandra Kiramman, to be the princess’s sworn protector in the wake of a blooming war with Noxus. However, the princess is as stubborn as they come and tries to thwart the knight at every possible turn. Until she doesn't

“So that’s why I bring Violet Wickett up,” says the first, feminine voice, “because there’s two things that have defined Vi her entire career. How hard she plays as a forward, especially on defence, and her rivalry with Caitlyn Kiramman.”
“See, if I’m Mel Medarda, I’m not even giving Wickett another glance. I’m taking Kiramman with my first pick and grabbing from the end of the Ironfist’s bench.”
“That’s what makes this so delicious, though, Jack. Mel Medarda can get both of them.”

This is it, Caitlyn realizes. Vi was an unexpected twist in her life, but she splits Caitlyn right open and Caitlyn should care about all the ways they misalign but she doesn't. Because Vi makes her feel awake like nothing else has before. She thinks that's what falling in love feels like when you're finally ready for it—it feels safe and immeasurable instead of scary and confusing. The past two years were fucking horrible, but it'll all be okay because she gets to sleep next to Vi, is what she means.
