Summary
Naminé didn’t know what drove Chang’e. She was a story, a legend. She may have once been a real person or she might never have existed at all, but what the man said about her struck too close to home. The hand Naminé played in what had happened at Castle Oblivion and the reason why Xion was forgotten…Was it ignorance, selfishness, or a choice between two evils?
So maybe that was why Naminé couldn’t help but see the moon goddess as a kindred spirit. Or, if nothing else, why Naminé wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Surely, one bad decision did not automatically make someone a bad person?
