This is an alternate ending where Javier follows Arthur and John instead of Dutch at Beaver Hollow.
It's intended to be read as a part two/alt ending to my other Jovier fic 'I'll eat you whole, I love you so', but can be read alone with the caveat that the relationship between John and Javier is many years established by now. And also very emotionally constipated and full of so many misunderstandings it's probably a world record. It's written in the same format with multiple POVs.

Summary
Sidon was on a mission of knowledge, a very important mission at that. Or at least that’s what he had told his father as he begged for his permission to leave the domain for said mission.
It was hard to get him to agree given Sidon was purposely very vague about the details of the knowledge he wished to acquire… even harder after he insisted on traveling by himself without an entourage of guards at his side, but alas his father reluctantly granted permission, never one to stunt his son’s innocent curiosity about the world.
Except this wasn’t exactly… innocent curiosity.
