Summary
Nico di Angelo was supposed to be enemies with Will Solace.
They were supposed to hate each other. They were supposed to argue.
Actually, they were forced to, but whatever.
Falling for him was not the plan.
OR
Nico di Angelo is an Italian, whereas Will Solace is an American.
When Nico’s sister and mother pass away, he moves to Texas with his papa, and tries to befriend his neighbor, Will.
But after being forced into being enemies by their veteran families, they start to bond secretly, and maybe fall in love as well. As the years pass by, their secret friendship grows into something much larger and deeper.
(I promise the actual story is better. The plot is just a little hard to summarize.)

The whole situation was throwing Nico off. He was already in love with Will, so of course he wanted to look good, to be cool, to impress him. But Will was already in love with him, so was there anything Nico could wear or say or do that wouldn’t? What if there was? What if they got there and realized whatever this was… didn’t work in person? That, face-to-face, the spark wasn’t actually there?
