“Do you?” He sounded more wrecked than you did, barely opening his eyes as his head lolled against the back of the chair.
“Mmmm,” you said, rubbing him teasingly close to where you opened. “Just this once. But if you want to be inside me you’re going to have to convince me you’ll never do it again.”

Zoey hums, “I mean, it’s a little weird and a tiny bit freaky, but maybe she’s just—getting more comfortable around us?”
“I don’t know,” Mira says slowly. Her brow furrows in thought. “You should’ve seen the way she looked at me when she was licking the blood off my hand. It was like she was…” Possessed? Out of it? Kinda sexy? Possibly all of the above?
Zoey quietly answers, “I think I know what you mean.”
Or, Rumi’s new, strange behavior doesn’t go unnoticed by Mira and Zoey. Maybe it has something to do with her demon side.
