But the woods remember what the veterans don't, and the lake remembers even more. It starts like any summer camp does: a weekend before the kids arrive filled with chores, pranks, and ghost stories told around the fire. But stories have a way of growing teeth out here and the old legends of blood on the water may not be legends at all.
By the time the first bus of children is due, these counsellors will be long past telling scary stories. They’ll be trapped inside one.
